Our Mission

Renewal Education serves as a curriculum lab dedicated to producing integrated and representative educational resources. Our mission is to cultivate whole and balanced Muslims through comprehensive educational materials that honor both traditional Islamic scholarship and contemporary pedagogical excellence.

Our Team

Dr. Harun Spevack

Harun Spevack is a professor, author, and researcher who has taught at Harvard and other leading universities. He brings deep expertise in both classical Islamic and modern academic disciplines. Trained under traditional scholars such as Shaykh Salih al-Ghursi, he is a seasoned educator at both university and high-school levels.

Mawlana Justin Poe

Justin Poe is a teacher and researcher based at a traditional Islamic institution and Islamic high school. He graduated from Darussalam Seminary, pursued advanced studies at Darul Qasim, and completed his Master’s in Islamic Studies at Zaytuna College. He brings a unique combination of seminary grounding and educational experience to Verification & Renewal.

Ibrahim Qureshi

Ibrahim Qureshi is a researcher and translator. He holds a B.A. and an M.A. in philosophy and theology from Zaytuna College. He continues to study Islamic law, theology, and Sufism with scholars, most notably Shaykh Abdurrahman al-Sha’ar and Mawlana Babur al-Suwati. He additionally tutors grammar, logic, rhetoric, and ethics at the high school and college levels.
